Mega Dharna on 17 Dec 2012 before NVS Hqrs., Noida

JAC 2012-13/1-11/                                                                                                         Date: 06-11-2012
To
The Hon’ble Commissioner,
Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti,
Noida, Gautam Budh Nagar,U.P.
Sub: Notice for dharna in front of the  NVS  Head  Quarters New Delhi on 17-12-2012
Respected Sir,
This is to humbly submit that the Members of the JAC met you on 17th September 2012 and discussed various issues like implementation of  CCS Pension to the employees of NVS, the extension of Special Allowance to Non-teaching staff, MACPS to teaching staff, up- gradation of Grade pay of Section Officer, restoration of Pre revised pay from 5000 to 5500 to Audit Assistants/Assistants/Pas in the pattern of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan office Staffs, restoration of old Earned Leaves facility to teaching staff, rise of HM/AHM allowance, appointment of wardens up- gradation of Grade pay of Catering Assistant, and some other demands and requested you to take a suitable necessary action at the earliest. Many of these demands have brought to the notice of the earlier Commissioners of the Samiti.

The Association is grieved to note that despite a nod from you during the meeting for an amicable solution of the matters. Unfortunately no initiative has been taken by the Management for solving the problems and bringing solace to the industrious staff.  We feel agitated at the lip service to the genuine demands of the staff. On the other hand the organization is still keen to pressurise the staff for better academic performance but it is sadly ignoring the fact that the grass root level conditions in the vidyalayas need urgent attention and it is violation of human rights to deprive the staff of their personal time and extract additional work from them.

The apathetic attitude of the Samiti has gone down into the annals of the history when it overlooked the post retirement security of the employees by not favouring CCS Pension Scheme for  them in the first decade of its existence. The lives of thousands of staff who have laid the foundation of the Samiti and worked hard to take the   organization to its present status of peerless excellence is in predicament. We wonder if a better example is needed to expose the unsympathetic attitude of the Management towards its employees.

In the backdrop of the above, the Association has no option but to stage a Mass Dharna of the teaching and non-teaching staff of the employees from across the country in front of the Headquarters of the Samiti in Noida from 10.a.m. to 3.00 p.m. on 17th December for pressing the Management for a suitable action for the solution of the long-pending problems enumerated in our representation submitted to you on 17-09-12.
Thank you.

Yours sincerely
